Letting Go
 
 
"Strenuously exerting to still the mind creates more mental waves that need to be restrained. These forceful efforts are like attempts at calming the surface of water by using our hands to smooth out the waves. Instead, in the name of meditation, learn to surrender the distracting thoughts to the act or object of meditation. In other words, meditation is as much a process of letting go as of directing attention."

Calling All Karma Yogis! 
 
YLS satsangs at the Freehold Yoga Center are enjoying a wonderful time of expansion.  More & more attendees are coming to savor the enlightenment of being with sangha & learning how Yoga applies to everyday life as Guruji expounds the secrets of living Yoga through his eloquent and always uplifting talks. The growth YLS is experiencing gives us all an opportunity to practice the art of Karma Yoga, the act of selfless service.  At the moment, the specific tasks at hand at the YLS satsang are set up & clean up. Would you like to help?  If the answer is yes, there will be training sessions at the next two YLS Satsangs at FYC on Friday, 9 May & Friday, 13 June.  Set up trainings will begin at 5:30pm.  These training sessions will also include instruction on book store operating procedures.  Pack up instruction will take place after the satsang is completed at 10pm.  If you are interested in coming to the set up training, packing up training, or both, please contact Karuna at karuna@yogalifesociety.com & Thank You!
